Meet The Team
Andy & Mary
Andy and Mary
would like to welcome you to Chatel, and to our two fantastic chalets,
Chalet Simplet, and Chalet Timide (aka Dopey & Bashful).
We are the owners of 'The Alpine Chalet Company' and we will be on hand throughout your stay to help you
get the most from your holiday. We started 'The Alpine Chalet Company' in 2008 and now live full time here in The Alps. Mary worked in the UK as a chef and is a keen snowboarder, and Andy is a BASI qualified ski instructor. We are based here in resort so are always on hand to offer help and advice. We look forward to meeting you soon!
Rob & Shareen
Winter 2011/12 will be Rob and Shareens' 2nd season running Chalet Timide. With considerable catering experience the meals they produce are of the highest quality (I've lost count of the feedback in our guest book about Shareens' cakes!) They are both keen skiers and know the area very well so will be more than happy to offer you advice about the best areas to go. We're looking forward to seeing them again in December (if they find their way back along the GR5!)
Harry & Lucy
New additions to The Alpine Chalet Company team, Harry & Lucy have extensive catering and hosting experience having completed a catering course and a previous season working in a 14 bed chalet where they achived an 'award of excellence.'
Both are keen skiers (although they have spoken of trying some boarding this season Boo!) They will be taking good care of you in Chalet Simplet.
The Service
Below are some details about the service we offer.
Transfers
We are pleased to be able to offer our guests FREE transfers to and from Geneva airport. We will meet you there in person and bring you to the chalet in your own private mini bus. Please see our Prices page for terms & conditions
In Chatel there are 3 different lifts that you can start and finish from depending on which area of the Portes du Soleil you would like to ski. The nearest lift is about 400m away in the village centre. To save any walking at all we use our minibus to take you to and from your choice of lift every day.
This service runs between 0830-1030 every morning and 1600 - 1700 every evening.
In Chalet Massage
A massage service is available in the chalet at an additional cost, full details are available in resort.
In Chalet Ski Hire
We offer a fantastic in Chalet ski hire service so that you don't even have to leave the chalet in order to get kitted out with skis/boards and boots. Please see our Ski Hire page for full details
Pre booking service
We are happy to pre book your ski hire, lift passes, child care, and lessons for you. Your passes will then be waiting for you in the chalet, and we can arrange for your skis and boots to be delivered and fitted at the chalet too! If you would like to speak to us about any of these then please feel free to drop us an email.
The Catering
We know from experience that food is very important whilst on holiday and we make it a priority to provide fresh,
well prepared, hearty meals which should satisfy even the most demanding appetites.
The price of your holiday includes cooked and continental breakfast, afternoon tea and homemade
cakes, early kids dinners on 6 nights, and delicious 5 course adults evening meals on 6 nights.
We serve free and unlimited wine with your meal. The wines have been hand picked and are bottles not cheap boxes!
Orientation
We offer a FREE orientation service around this fantastic area. Andy, who is a qualified instructor, will be happy to show you around the best runs (and the best bars and restaurants!)
