Chatel offers some of the best skiing anywhere in the Alps. The village is part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area with over 650km of skiing!

Chalet Simplet, is an extremely spacious 5 bedroom ski chalet that can sleep 12 people in comfort. It boasts an outdoor Hot Tub with fantastic views across the valley, and an open log fire to help you relax after a hard day on the slopes! Situated just 5 minutes walk from Chatel village centre it is perfectly located for easy access to the ski lifts, crèche, ski schools, and local bars and restaurants.
Chatel is located just an hour and a half drive from Geneva airport and is just minutes from the Swiss border. The village itself is a beautiful and traditional french farming village with plenty of great restaurants and local bars for you to enjoy the all important apres ski drinks! The local ski lifts give immediate access to the Massive Portes Du Soleil Ski area, the largest linked ski area in the world, with over 650km of linked pistes across two countries. From Chatel you can ski across the border into Switzerland, or over to Avoriaz, Morzine, or Les Gets, all on one lift pass!
Chalet Simplet is perfectly located just minutes walk from both the village centre, and the beautiful Lac de Vonnes

Thats why we prepare fresh, mouthwatering meals, served in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, with unlimited quality bottled wines. We are passionate about individual service, that's why we personally collect you from the airport, cook and host for you throughout your stay, and offer many more little extras, that a tour operator simply cannot.
If you have never skied before and are a little nervous about trying, then don't worry. We will take care of absolutely everything for you, so all you have to worry about is staying upright!
